Stainless steel 1/2” diameter dip tube custom designed to fit ALL models and sizes of Speidel plastic fermenters.

Dip tube features a 3/4" TRI CLOVER interface, providing weldless, thread-free connection, and opens up a whole world of connector possibilities!

Thermowell is 6-1/2” long, with a 5/16” inner opening which will accept large thermocouplers.

· Includes our custom-manufactured silicone “V-groove” gasket (SKU# 3064) for superior leak-free attachment. Replaces standard rubber gasket provided by Speidel.

Replaces stock plastic Speidel spigot, and uses stock Speidel lock ring for leak-free attachment.

There are three areas to review.
1). The 3/4 tc is perfect to add on a 3/4" inch tc ball valve or a 3/4" to 1.5" tc adapter and 1" tc butterfly valve as I did.

2) A probe can not be installed after installing a valve because there is not enough of an angle to install the probe over the tc. Installing the probe first would make it difficult to sanitize a 30 gal Speidel. Perhaps a longer tc would make it easier to fit the probe behind the tc.

3) The gasket floats around while trying to tighten the cap. This made me nervous thinking if it was a little off it would leak. I used a 1.5" tc silicone gasket instead. It was a little too big but when tightened, it was water tight.

Overall I like this product. I think it is the best option out there for a sanitary valve set up and a thermowell to boot. I just have to figure out how to sanitize before installing the probe. Admittedly, I did not read the instructions so that might have been in there.

I really like this nifty upgrade for my fermenter. Easily use the one port for controlling temps and siphoning beer. Get the "Gas In" pressure relief valve to siphon beer under pressure in tandem with this, and it's perfect! I also attached a 1/2 inch tri clover ball valve to the end with the accessory silicone gasket and life is good!
