Stainless steel Ball Lock “Gas In” adapter provides Ball Lock Gas In connection for all sizes and models of Speidel plastic fermenters and storage tanks.

Now you can pressurize the contents of your Speidel tank without worrying about the seams failing or tank rupturing.

Built-in Pressure Relief Valve (PRV) helps protect the Speidel tank from rupture in case CO2 regulator is cranked too high, or CO2 builds up inside tank due to spontaneous fermentation.

CHARACTERISTICS and SPECIFICATIONS:

· 304 Stainless Steel for all metal components

· Use at the TOP of the fermenter (replaces airlock)

· Use existing Speidel lock ring for leak-free attachment. PLEASE NOTE: Speidel tanks and fermenters come with ONE lock ring (as part of the spigot). To attach this Ball Lock Connector you will need an ADDITIONAL lock ring, which is part of Speidel OEM Spigot (SKU# 2807)

· Includes our custom-manufactured silicone “V-groove” gasket (SKU# 3064) for superior leak-free attachment. Replaces standard rubber gasket provided by Speidel.

· Use with a standard “Gas In” Ball Lock (SKU# 0132 or SKU# 0134 – sold separately) to quickly connect and disconnect CO2 source

· Comes apart for cleaning and poppet replacement just like any standard ball lock post

USE CAUTION! We make no claims as to how high the pressure can go before vessel damage or human injury occurs.

PLEASE NOTE: The default spring installed in the PRV is rated at a range of 1-5 PSI. While the basic nature of this component does not allow you to “dial in” a specific PSI, you can increase and decrease resistance within the 1-5 PSI range by gently stretching out or depressing the spring.

A 10 PSI spring is available to purchase separately. (SKU #3790)

A 20 PSI spring is available to purchase separately. (SKU #3255)

I bought this hoping to ferment under pressure and transfer beer from heavy fermenter to kegs.

I have not used it to ferment under pressure yet, but I have racked with it and it worked great! No longer have to lift 10+ gallons of beer to rack.

When pressurized the lid did leak a bit, but all I did was press down on it and it stopped. PSI was about 8 Next time I will lube the lid gasket. Thanks for this innovative product.

Dont forget to order the spigot so you can use the casing for this contraption.

Works exactly as intended.

I have the 60l spiedel fermenter that I normally lift to a table to gravity feed my kegs. This allows me to hook up C02 and push the beer into the kegs. Although I don't do closed transfers it definitely helps the back.

Also work great as a slight spunding. I typically ferment for 3 to 7 days with the airlock before switching to the PRV.

I bought this pressure valve assembly to push transfer from my 60L Speidel feremter to 2 corny kegs. I needed a way to push the beer up the height of a corny keg to the liquid in post. I tested first with water and was able to push the water from the fermenter sitting on the floor into a corny keg sitting next to it. Fits my needs.
