Adjustable Racking Cane

Standard Hose Connect x 1/2" Male NPT Compression

1/2" Outer Diameter – 304 Stainless Steel

This is the racking cane that forms the basis of our line of Sanke Keg “Tee” and “Cross” fermenter kits, Speidel, glass and PET carboy transfer tools, and Speidel CO2 Transfer System (see “Other items you might want to order, below).

Stainless steel racking cane accepts 1/2" inner diameter vinyl or 3/8” – 1/2” inner diameter high temp silicone hose connection.

Compression fitting is standard half inch NPT Male, and threads into a wide range of NorCal Brewing Solutions products. This allows for creative racking solutions integrated with blow-off tubes, transfer systems, etc. (see “Other items you might want to order, below).

Over-all length is 29 inches from bottom of tube to back of curve. Need a shorter or longer cane? Use the pull-down menus to customize length to your specification, then enter exact length (from bottom of tube to back of curve) in the text box.

ONE COMPRESSION FITTING and 3 INSERT TYPES included:

1. Stainless Ferrule Set – SKU# 3287 (pre-installed inside compression fitting) – Allow you to LOCK the fitting in a fixed place on the racking cane.

2. Delrin Compression Sleeve – SKU# 0034 – Made of nylon. Swap out the Stainless Ferrule Set for the Delrin Sleeve to be able to slide the racking cane up and down through the fitting. Allows use of cane with fuel, gas, methanol and ethanol.

3. High Temp Silicone O-Rings – SKU# 0111 – Quantity of 2 supplied – Swap out the Stainless Ferrule Set for the O-Ring (use only 1 at a time – save the other one for backup) to be able to slide the racking cane up and down through the fitting. Great for high temperature racking transfers.

I've been making wine at my home from grapes for 11 years now. Regularly, I start with a ton of grapes and bottle between 500-600 bottles. As my volume has increased, I've tried to find efficiencies where I can. Whenever I've thought "If only someone made XXXX, I can speed up this step." Every time I've thought that, NorCal Brewing Solutions has had what I'm looking for. These stainless steel, longer & adjustable Racking Canes are exactly what I thought I needed and NorCal had them. NorCal Brewing has the inventory, they ship on time and their customer services has been top notch. They are my default equipment supply shop.

The machining and quality of materials for the pass-through compression fitting is great, I really like the full range of options provided. My only criticism is the need to chamfer the ID and OD of the racking cane itself. The OD was sharp and the ID had large raised burrs. While I had the ability to chamfter the racking cane, post processing on something like this shouldn't be needed.

Very nice product easy to clean will last better than a plastic racking cane. Worth the money. The pass through fitting is nice to have to adjust the cane above any trub in the fermenter
