I myself am an engineer and I appreciate the precision fit-up, the design of the fundamental circular diaphragm support, as it makes the weldment incredibly rigid, meaning no deflection from heavy grain bills. The height actually fits above the kettle out port (unlike some other retailer versions of the product). And also, for the grain that does slip between the kettle wall and edge of the false bottom, the circular support acts as a second means of defense in keeping grain away from the out port/pickup. Lets not forget the stenciled "CHEERS" on the perforated plate. bad ass man.
Great mash false bottom!05/05/2016 ByThomas Herron Bought this for a Concord 25 gal kettle. Best purchase I have made for my brew system. Fit was perfect, increased my efficency arround 10%. Well made, sturdy, great product.
