I’d just like to say, as a pro brewer, I loved the simplicity of CIPs and harvests from cylindrical conical tanks. I had been using corny kegs to keep sealed transfers and DOs low. Problem is, dry hops are impossible in cornys! This is the solution. The cross is easily the closest to pro brewing use and function and offers a range of options for home brewers, all with closed transfers, all stainless. Turns my old keg into a fully functional 1/2bbl fermenter.

This adapter is awesome, but they one thing I caution is that you must use plumbers tape on most fittings. If you watch Jay Birds video on assembly, he doesn't wrap tape between the ball lock base the o ring. In my case I was chasing down a slow leak, placed some keg lube on all o rings and still had a leak. Finally had to use tape right before the o ring under the ball lock fitting. Now it keeps pressure like a champ.

Spunding Valve was bought on a different site because I could not find one on Norcal.

As nice as it is, dont call it the ultimate if it is missing the one thing that keeps it all together, THE CLAMP! I know it said sold separately after the fact. Also dont say in the listing that I need a 2" clamp and write that I need a 3" clamp on my packing sheet. Which is it? The top of a Sankey keg measures 2.5"

Where to start? This adapter is by far the nicest quality and most functional on the market. In addition to the smooth finish and excellent build it also features some options not found on other companies adapters. First the 1/2" NPT fitting inside that holds the drain tube has holes cut in strategic locations to allow the keg to be easily drained by flipping keg over. This same Nor Cal innovation can also be used to add a 1/2" CIP ball by removing the hand tight cap on the 1/2" NPT tube for easy cleaning. I could have easily done with one of these for my two sanke kegs but after seeing the quality of the first when it arrived I ordered another one. Don't forget to get the ball lock adapter(also sold here) if you only use home brew fittings. It has made life so easy using the sanke as a fermentor/serving vessel. I purchased two trips clover kegs and couldn't be happier. Enjoy your brewing.

This is a beast. I purchased this and have never been happier. In addition to being able to add a 1/2 CIP or the piggy holes for easier drainage upside down. This is the nicest, best made piece of brew equipment I have. UPGRADE to SANKE for your fermenter. So much safer, easier with this kit.
