I have been using a set of stainless-steel pots for my brewery that I really like for several years now. But I was using a small diameter "dome" false bottom in the mash tun that I felt made it difficult to get the best yield from the mash. I came across NorCal's custom-made false bottoms while searching online and it looked like it was exactly what I was looking for. Having used it now I can say that it is exactly what my mash tun needed. It dropped into the bottom of the mash tun just like it was made for it! As indeed it was. It reduced plumbing issues I had with the domed bottom, making setup much easier. It covers the complete bottom of the mash tun evenly, so my pump draws more evenly from the mash during the rest and fly sparging (IMHO). This was the perfect addition to my mash tun.

You cut a perfect circle exactly .030" over my pot diameter, WOW. I could not be happier. Excellent workmanship and quality. It fits like a glove, cant wait to mash-in to test here out.

NorCal was great to work with l. Super easy and made my false bottom about as perfect as it could be! A perfect fit! Yeah not 1 brew through it but worked perfectly. NorCal will be my first stop when looking for anything custom for my brewery.
