I gravity feed my SPARGE via a 10 gallon SPIKE kettle tank , with a 1/2 inch butterfly valve, 1/2 inch barb to silicon hose to this wonderfully crafted tool. Works perfectly. I’m glad I decide to purchase this and you will be too.

I purchased this item to upgrade my Spike Solo for use with the “center pick up tube”. The system used a tube that went to the side of the basket and wort ran down the side. I felt that using the diffuser would more consistently rinse grain during the mash. It would be even better if it spun around. Cutting a few inches off the thick silicone tube from Spike allowed me to connect over the outside of the center pick up tube and on the other end connect the diffuser to the inside with a clamp. Brewed last weekend…. Everything worked great!

Solid build. Good broadcast but only in three streams, kind of wish it swiveled. Don't have exact #s but my efficiency has definitely improved. I use it with the Spike long center tube

WOW, no more grain bed disruption with returning wort. I can also keep my cooler closed now because I don't have to check to see if the returning wort is drilling a hole in my grain bed. My return is now thru the lid, and on the inside I can adjust the height so that is sits just on top of the grain bed.
