I've been using a paint mixer for the past few years and that worked ok but I've been concerned with the material and last brew day it card the false bottom to lift up and I got a stuck mash. I used this brewing paddle last weekend and I love it. You do have to go slow for best results but my efficiency went up 3%! Be careful with BIAB, it can sometimes snag when first douging in.

This item is built well. It did a great job mixing the grist. I was not able to fit it into a 3/8 chuck. I had to purchase a drill with a 1/2 in chuck. Good for 5 gal and larger brews.

I brew 15 to 20 gallon batches. It takes some work to get a good whirlpool started. This perfect device made it simple.
