High Quality & Fast Shipping 08/13/2022 ByChris Daniels The Co2 harvester kit left California and arrived at my door in Maine in a mere 4 days! It’s sturdy (clean welds) and works as intended.
It does what its supposed to06/22/2021 ByStephen T Gabriel This kit does what its supposed to. When I cold crash I don't tend to get much in the way of suck back into the co2 cannister but I know its air tight as I applied negative pressure and it pushed the sanitizer from the second cannister to the first. I plan to use this till I move to pressurized fermentation.
Worked great01/28/2021 ByJay T I had a beer sitting on oak for ~4 months after cold crashing with this system. No oxidation issues, no leaks, easy to use. Parts are all well machined and sturdy, I expect it to last a very long time.
Perfection08/19/2020 ByJan Brofka-Berends A simple, straightforward, easy-to-implement solution, and the craftsmanship is masterful. (Craftsmanship in engineering really shows with something that is simple.) Highly reocmmended.
Works for me!06/11/2020 ByPaul I only used this once....it was simple to setup and it just works. This certainly gives me peace of mind!
Simple but genius02/19/2019 ByJoshua Chauvin All of the components are quality. The welds are very well done, and the gaskets seal quite nicely. Should make cold crashing in my stainless bucket fermenter a breeze!
Mixed bag results02/06/2019 ByFrostman I bought the CO2 Harvester Kit to replace a nearly identical rig that I’d designed myself. I used gallon plastic jugs and a variety of bulkhead fittings and O-rings in my design. I used it once and it didn’t push the StarSan out of the first jug into the second as I’d hoped. I had the same result with this kit using 64 ounce Mason jars. The CO2 from a very active fermentation doesn’t push the StarSan into the end Mason jar. I suspect this is due to the fact that I am using a Big Mouth Bubbler as my primary fermentation vessel. I will give the CO2 Harvester Kit another shot with my next batch using a glass carboy in lieu of the Big Mouth Bubbler. The previous batch with the BMB I used a big blowoff tube and it didn’t seal at all. I had krausen burping out around the vinyl blowoff tube that I’ve always used in my glass carboys. Guess I need to go back to the old school method. In my experience, plastic repeatedly sucks as a primary fermenter vessel.
CO2 Harvester Kit09/19/2018 ByKen Lunde This is a must if you have a Brewbucket with a blow off tube. No more switching out an airlock, and no more suck back of sanitizer. And now if you want the newest model with the pinlock connector, you only need 1 new lid for the upgrade.
Great!06/06/2018 ByVolker No more sucking back sanitized water into your fermenter during chilling or cold crashing. Plus, what gets sucked back in during a cold crash is nearly 100% CO2. No more worries about oxidation. These are rather pricey gadgets, but they are high quality and will last. Worth it in my opinion.
CO2 Harvester Kit02/06/2018 ByJohn Pumphrey The CO2 Harvester Kit works as advertised and is of high quality. I used the lids with 1-litre jars and this provided ample CO2 to offset the volume (suck back) into the Catalyst fermenter while cold crashing from a higher fermentation temp (72F). I'm really pleased. The kit seems a bit expensive for what it is, but I'm very satisfied with the quality. Recommended.
